Ordinarily we would suggest using a pitch corrected roof hatch on slopes greater than 3 12 but the infrequent use and need for a low profile roof hatch was more important to the customer than the advantages of the pitch corrected roof hatch.

I can see the side walls and the walls that define the dormer but not the roof that should sit on the same view wither joining the walls or at the front south of the building.
Though from long autocad background i m creating a basic dormer with in a roof but the but the roof does not appear in the level.
This makes the roof line visible in the plan view but the lines appear as.
How do you make roof lines visible in floor plans.
Hello everyone i just took over a project that another drafter was working on already and i noticed that the floor surface pattern is not shown in the plan view.
In the renovation filter planned status the existing roof cover fill is turned off in elevations leaving the new part of the roof to show cover fills but using all the same settings on the roof plan view the cover fill for the existing part of the roof are still showing.
Scroll up to configurations and drag and drop medium detail and rename roof plan.
As you can see in the images i attached in the 3d view all seem properly but in the plan view i can t see the lines.
The problem is after i say finish region it is still highlighted as selected but is completely invisible can t see the lines which are drawn to a thickness and can t see the fill pattern solid black so it s not a scale issue.
Open the plan view of the level in which you want to see the roof line.
Any ideas where this setting might be located.
In the view properties expand the underlay drop down and select the level on which the roof was created to display as an underlay.
