Roof Gutter Leaking

For gutters to work properly they must be properly sloped toward the downspouts and the roof must have a drip edge that clears the sides of the gutters closest to the house.

Unfortunately it doesn t always work that way. If the leak is flowing water into your home through the ceiling and this area of water leakage is not near the eaves of your roof or your gutter system this is more. When water drips between the fascia and the gutters the problem could be a compromised drip edge but it s also possible the gutters are overflowing. Prepare the gutter by scraping out as much old tar or caulk as possible.

Gutters are supposed to direct water away from your roof and into the ground. Damage to the roof and fascia.
