It features an angled bend at the top known as the gravel stop. Products custom made to order. Its main function is keep water and gravel from washing away from the edge of a building structure. This type of edge metal is designed for installation on flat rubber roofs with gravel.

The gravel stop system incorporates a standard 3 deep 90 roof flange that easily accepts stripped in membrane roofing products. The lapped joint on the horizontal flange is set in mastic or elastic sealant. Dynaclad edge gravel stop system incorporates the same continuous 22 ga steel or 040 aluminum cleat for ease of installation and proper positioning and is pre punched with fastener holes 12 o c. The sheets are fastened to the roof deck by nails spaced 3 o c.

The ends are lapped 3 minimum. The copper apron extends 4 onto the roof deck. A version utilizing uncoated metal roof flanges is available for use in an epdm roofing system. The gravel stop provides an architectural visually attractive termination with a canted edge.

Top x 10 feet with 1 2 inch rise and 1 4 inch drip kick on face 26 gauge galvanized with brown finish. Membrane coated roof flange enables welding a separate skirt to both the flange and the installed roof membrane to provide a watertight seal. 3 x 6 in. Gravel stops are in general about 3 4 high and formed from copper sheet 8 to 10 feet long.
